The fabrication of custom-made titanium meshes using 3D printing and Customized Bone Regeneration (CBR®) represent an alternative to conventional block augmentations. This technique and device is recommended in order to avoid comorbidity for the patient and further avoid unpredictable and questionable revascularization of bone blocks associated with partial loss of grafted volume. The goal of this procedure is to obtain a predictable outcome in terms of bone regeneration. For the patient, even in the case of a complex alveolar process defect requiring three-dimensional reconstruction, treatment safety should be improved, and surgical time shortened.
In this theoretical part of the workshop, we will first introduce the topic of complex augmentations. The lecturer will discuss the necessary aspects of hard tissue and also deal with the correct handling of soft tissue. The application of Yxoss CBR® will be demonstrated on a large number of documented patient cases.
